Prof. Dr. Matthias Finkbeiner
Prof. Dr. Matthias Finkbeiner is currently Chair of Sustainable Engineering and Managing Director of the Department of Environmental Technology at Technical University Berlin. He was Chair of the ISO-Committee TC207/SC5 for Life Cycle Assessment for nine years and is currently Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Life Cycle Assessment. He is a Steering Committee member of the Social LCA Alliance. Earlier in his career, he was Manager for Life Cycle Engineering at the De-sign-for-Environment Department for Mercedes-Benz Cars at Daimler AG.

Marzia Traverso
Prof. Dr. Marzia Traverso, full professor and head of Chair and Institute of Sustainability in Civil Engineering in RWTH Aachen since 2017. PhD of Environmental Technical Physics of University of Palermo, and environmental engineer, working in the field of Life Cycle Assessment and sustainability performance of building and transport sector and strategic environmental assessment to the transportation urban systems. In 2020 nominated expert and member of: - Technical Advisory Board on Environmental Footprint’ (Expert group E03710), PEF EU. - Rapporteur of the Technical Working Group of the European Commission’s Platform on Sustainable Finance. - Convener and Project leader of the ISO 14075 on social life cycle assessment

Lany Harijanti
She currently serves as Regional Program Implementation Manager (ASEAN) at the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), bringing over 25 years of experience in sustainability and development across Southeast Asia. At GRI, she leads sustainability reporting capacity‑building in Indonesia, and the broader ASEAN region, including work to advance human rights due diligence and strengthen disclosure practices among MNC, large companies and SMEs. Previously, she worked with the United Nations on SDG governance, health governance and access to medicine, gender equality, and protection standards addressing violence against women, children, and human trafficking.

Claudia Giacovelli
Claudia Giacovelli has been part of the Life Cycle Initiative team in Paris since January 2020, where she serves as a Programme Officer. Previously, she was based at UNEP’s International Environmental Technology Centre (IETC) in Osaka from 2016, contributing to initiatives that supported developing countries in implementing sustainable solutions to environmental and climate challenges, with a particular emphasis on waste management. Earlier in her career, Claudia worked for over five years with UNIDO in South Africa, where she played a key role in fostering strategic partnerships and mobilizing funds for climate mitigation initiatives and helping accelerate the shift toward energy-efficient and low-carbon economy. She has an academic background in development economics and social sciences, which underpins her work in advancing sustainability and inclusive development.

Prof. Sonia Valdivia
Sonia has served as the Scientific Director of the World Resources Forum since 2014, leading initiatives in sustainable recycling industries and life cycle sustainability. In 2016, she also joined Leuphana Universität Lüneburg as an Honorary Professor, affiliated with the Faculty of Sustainability and the Institute of Environmental and Sustainability Communication (INFU). Throughout her career, Sonia has collaborated with leading international organizations such as UNITAR, the NACEC, and the Mexican Institute of Ecology (INE). Her extensive background also includes roles as a GIZ coordinator and a Programme Officer at UNEP, where she led the Secretariat of the UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative. Sonia holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Management and Policies from the Technical University of Karlsruhe (KIT) and has an academic background in Industrial Engineering. She is a co-author of numerous influential publications in the field, including ISO IWA 19 and several UNEP guidelines and reports on social life cycle assessment, life cycle assessment, sustainability, and the circular economy.

Sebastiaan Stiller
Sebastiaan Stiller (linkedin.com/in/stillersf) is the CEO of EPD International AB, the owner of the International EPD System (www.environdec.com), and board member of ECO Platform. EPD International AB is the inventor of the EPD and one of the largest, well-known EPD programmes globally. Sebastiaan is an experienced (+15 yrs.) senior sustainability manager with an international corporate and consulting background in the Environmental Services, Energy/Infrastructure and Manufacturing Industry. He holds an MBA in Sustainability Management from the Leuphana University.

Salil Dutt
Mr. Salil Dutt is currently the Chief Technical Adviser (CTA) at the UNIDO Jakarta office since 2018. He has 25+ years of cross-functional experience and vast exposure in the area of energy and environmental management, focusing on the implementation of programs and projects, conceptualizing and implementing consulting/ technology development/ transfer/commercialization projects, setting up new business entities and business operations in south-east Asia and North Africa, strategic business planning and management, policy analysis and capacity building. He completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), the University of Delhi, after a Master of Technology (M. Tech) in Energy & Environment Management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, after attaining B. Tech (Mechanical Engineering) from G. B. Pant University Pantnagar in India.
